it probably is your telavision. sometimes the TV cant pick up the signal from the game console. i suggest you use a different TV.

Hmmm, I watch three soap operas in the afternoon - All My Children, One Life To Live and General Hospital. They are pretty interesting right now because it's the May sweeps thing. There are some good old shows on TVLand, like Bonanza, Leave It To Beaver, etc. I don't know how old you are or your interest, but sometimes I enjoy watching HGTV or the food network to get recipes, decorating or craft ideas. There are a lot of free movie channels in most basic cable or satellite packages. The Lifetime or Lifetime Movie Channel always has some good movies on. If you like games shows the Game Channel has old game shows that are fun to watch. Of course there is always MTV, VH1, CMT of GAC that have music videos. You can also watch live episodes of tv shows on www.abc.com or any other network I'm sure. Hope you find something! Sorry you are sick! God bless!

The third season of Everybody Hates Chris is currently airing on the CW on sundays. If you live in the UK, Channel Five should be airing it pretty soon - Give it a month or so. Also Chris was on tour in london if that helps, however the tickets are sold out!

Yes, I think it is pretty sad when a clever show like Arrested Development can't make it, but shows like "Yes, Dear" keep going on. It's pathetic.

Ugh yes! I never watch reality TV (except Project Runway) because it is so dumb - so trashy - it's like mental pixie stix - tastes good for awhile - but later you are still hungry.

I agree--and the shows that were once good have gone down the tubes. I used to watch Maury, back when most of the time it was secret crushes on your best friend, tradgedy or success stories, and long-lost reunions, with maybe one paternity test show a month. Now that's all they show--one girl had over 10 men tested to see if one was the father, and NONE of them were! Grrr--give me the stories about people with tourettes who overcame the struggles and teasing to become successful, and stories like that...guess I'll have to stick with Oprah.
For starters Celebrity Death Match is worth waching to me because the show is funny and there are some celebrity that I dont like and now I could wach them on tv fighting each other and killing each just because of the show. I do agree with you with some talk show.

Why is the downside of a tv show or movie being rated? I already know many movies face commercial death due to ratings. What are cons of tv shows and moves being rated?

Sometimes a show will worry about what it's rating is more than making a good show. Some ratings like MA can't be shown in certain timeslots. This means that the makers of the show either have to self-censor or their rating may change--causing them all sorts of problems, not the least of which is that it was a show that was OK for kids last week and this episode isn't. Look at all the complaints the Simpsons halloween specials received, despite the special warnings at the beginning.

How badly censorship affects TV is tough to decide. Some shows move to cable or late night where they can say whatever they want. But if you want a prime time, network show, there are limits to what you can get away with. The shows don't end up being exactly what the artists had in mind or could have come up with when they were making it. But Shakespeare made good plays while always having to worry about his censors and sponsors--it may not be a bad thing, unless it goes too far.

If you put the music files into your mp3 player folder then they are ONLY in the mp3 player.. this means that if the mp3 player is not present, neither are its files.

if you want the music to be in your mp3 player and your pc, then copy the files from the mp3 player into a folder that is on your hard drive (my documents, desktop, my music).

It is supposed to show couples dancing different kinds of music but it's real purpose is to show Women in very provocative clothing. I like the girls, but the show is very boring.

Yahoo has been having major server issues since at LEAST Jan. 10, seemingly just with particular servers. And what's happening to you (the "phantom" e-mails) is unfortunately one of the many problems that people are having because of them, and Yahoo doesn't seem to be in any particular hurry to solve them. And the problems are not just w/Yahoo Beta or IE7; I and others not using either are having similar problems. But both do have more problems; if you're using Beta, it's still in the testing stage and has a lot of problems, so go back to original Yahoo mail, and the same w/IE7, go back to IE6 until MS irons out all the problems.

I've had to use another acct.provided free by my ISP to send/rcv important e-mails since Jan. 10, and it's been working just fine the whole time. If you don't have another acct.w/another provider besides Yahoo, I'd strongly advise to get one; it makes a good backup in case of problems like this.

Please see my posting from Fri. Jan. 12 under the heading "Anyone having problems of any kind w/Yahoo Mail, PLEASE READ THIS" for more info and on reporting problems to Yahoo.

Since that original posting, they've also sent another e-mail that they've escalated the problem (or should I say problems!) to their engineering department, which is an indication of major problems, and not just a minor S/W "glitch." And again, these problems are not exclusive to Yahoo's Beta, but it does seem to compound the existing problems. This would indicate to me that there are also compatibility issues btwn. the H/W and S/W, besides the server problems.

So it's not anything you're doing, your computer, or your internet connection, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. And BTW, deleting temp files (which your computer automatically does anyway every time you close your browser), cookies, or history will absolutely NOT fix the problem, nor will running disk cleanup or defrag.

Yes, pretty much every program does.

Even Sopranos, though that show's seasons have been split into two archs a season for the past few. (First set of eppys, then the later second set of eppys.)

Usually a season will be around 22 episodes.....though, again, Sopranos has less :)

It just allows the production team to have a break of 3 months or so, or a 'hiatus' over the summer, where the actors usually go work on movies or something. Most shows these days where its set in high school or something, will usually give a time frame on the show of a year a season.

It also makes it a lot easier to find a certain episode. Ie, if you were looking for something in particular, just go to #305.

Eg, season 3, episode 5.

I think so. Shows are created on a yearly basis, every year of production becoming a season. Whether or not every show does it this way I cant say for sure.

as far as I know, there aren't any shows on Mondays except Rent I think. i'm about 85% sure.

I was able to watch The Farnsworth Invention and Is He Dead? last month, both on a Monday night. But I think they already changed it into Tuesday - Sunday performances.

That can change though especially during the holiday season. Most shows change their showtimes around Christmas and New Year.

Although you can watch a bunch of shows off-Broadway and off-off-Broadway. Prospect Theatre has shows on Monday nights. as well as a few other small theatres.

Many shows do do have a holiday schedule that may include a Christmas or New Years eve performance this year (a special Monday performance), however many shows are 'dark' on Mondays. You will need to check each show you are interested in.

I have a 30 GB iPod and for some reason the artist Against Me! shows up four times. The thing is all four of them have the same songs/albums. I've selected them all and changed the artist to the same thing, so it's not that. The weird part is it shows up in iTunes as one artist, but then on my iPod as four. Got any suggestions?

Absolutely, for most Reality shows are already hit and miss because there are so many of them, start to throw in lesser quality and poorer editing and hosts and they start to smell foul before you finish watching the first episode.

What kids shows or Cartoons are violent?

I am in the process of banning certain cartoons from our tv. My son is 6 and watched Boomerang and he got that hitting was alright from Tom and Jerry. ( He admitted this to me) So I have blocked the entire channel.

Outside of Power Rangers are there any other shows that I should know about. Anything that has to do with fighting or hurting. Don't get me wrong I watched them as a child and I never acted on them, but my son has a behavioral problem that he cannot control himself well.

ummm i think all cartons are on the verge to being violent its hard to block your sons way of entertainment
I don't mean to be stupid here, but what cartoon isn't violent? The coyote gets stuff dropped on his head, Elmer Fudd blows himself up, Bugs Bunny cross-dresses (ok, not violent). Honestly, your probably going to have to block out all cartoons. someone get's hit/blown-up/etc. . . in every episode. Your best bet for cartoons may be veggie-tales and 321 penguins, baby einsteins. They are shown on Saturday mornings and they have tons of videos out. but as for cartoons on cable/satalite, your pretty much out of luck for finding anything that is not violent.
I have outlawed pointless cartoons in my house. If they are not educational or teaching some sort of morals and values to the kids then they are wasting time absorbing nonsense into their little sponge-like brains. One that I do not allow is Spongebob. He is discusting and a waste of time.
i dont let my daughter watch any "japanamation" shows either (in addition to all the ones you mentioned). Shows like Yu-gi-oh, card captors and stuff like that. the all have fighting in them and eventhough they may be fighting to protect someone/something its hard for kids to tell the difference. I dont have cable anymore but when I did, all I let her watch was Disney (not everything though cause some shows are too "mature" for her), Nick Jr and Noggin. Channels that have shows geared toward younger kids which are more friendly like Rolly Pollie Ollie and Lil Einsteins and stuff like that. Now that we dont have cable, I purchase DVD's of approved shows that way she still gets to see what she likes and i know exactly what she is watching. It also helps me moniter her TV time, when the movie is over...tv goes off, no more "but mom I LOVE this next show..and the one after and the one after...
Instead of figuring out what to ban, consider figuring out what to watch (there's a lot of junk out there, and you'll do better choosing one or two quality shows than just banning a couple). Spend a couple of days watching with your son. Decide what shows meet with your approval. Then turn on the tv only to that channel during that time. If the tv is in a public place in your house, you can keep monitoring that he is watching only appropriate things.

My kids watch only PBS. My 6-year-old still likes Curious George, and also shows like Zoom, Cyberchase, and (hmm, I forget the name of that PBS kids'-game-show hosted by a dog, is it Fetch?).
ALL of them almost. We have just recently let our 9 year old watch regular TV. However before that he has the entire collection of Veggie Tales. Awesome dvd's/vcr tapes. Since he's 6 then if you get the station called NOGGIN it's great. It's on cable tv. Here's a link to check it out

Final note: OUR son had/has the same issues as far as behavior and LITERALLY would act out each character on the tv is why we didn't allow him to watch them. (power rangers included). I can only tell you that it does get easier when they understand that it's TV and not the REAL world. One more thing: we actually bought Lassie, Andy Griffith, and Green Acres movies for him to watch because as kids we used to watch these. Great old movies with good clean fun. (a rare in this world now)

I have 5 children and I have found that the Noggin channel is a good channel. It is alittle "babyish" but even my oldest (7) enjoys the cartoons. It has a lesson to be learned in many of the cartoons.
All of them are too violent as far as I am concerned. Sponge Bob is full of sexual inuendo, and there are just far better things to occupy a child's mind that all of that drivel.
You would have to sit down and view the cartoons yourself to make that decision. What you consider violent will be different than what the next person considers violent to be.
You just need to tell him that is not ok to hit people. Lay down the basics of right and wrong and it should work. (it did for me anyway)
Instead of banning everything simply explain the difference between TV and real life. At 6 he is old enough to know that hitting is wrong even if Tom %26amp; Jerry do it. Kids have to learn that even if you see or hear something that does not make it acceptable to you the parent, tell him what is and is not acceptable and anything after that the child is making the choice to act on it and 99% of the time knows it is wrong.

Just wanted to add I do have children they are 6 and 8 and they know they cannot do what TV charachters do. They do not watch violence, but banning even Tom %26amp; Jerry is going a bit far. You have to teach them what is acceptable not just prevent them from seeing it.
Every cartoon channel except sprout tv has some type of "bad" show on it. I recommend showing him a little at a time though. Maybe one show a week you dont aprove of. Watch it with him and discuss it with him as things happen.

Seems as though all I am intersted in are crime TV shows. I am always watching Court TV, all the different versions of Law and Order, reruns of NYPD Blue, American Justice on A%26amp;E and City Confidential. There just doesn't seem to be anything else that I am interested in watching....the "comedies" aren't even close to amusing, I refuse to watch drivel like The Bachelor, American Idol, Survivor, The Great Race....all those reality shows about switching Moms and Nazi Nannies, and "How Filthy Is Your House?" etc. I've always been interested in crime shows but now it's like ALL I watch.....if I'm home during the day I turn on Court TV and watch a real trial. Has anybody else experienced this?

I DO watch Top Chef when it's on and I used to find Queer Eye For The Straight Guy an absolute scream....but other than that.....it's Forensic Files.

No, you're aren't the only one addicted to crime TV shows. I live and breathe them. Some of the scenerios are real life situations and people like us, seem to get caught up in them. Some of the situations are outrageous. I think the reality shows are a farce. They aren't funny and they do not show humanity.

I like to watch shows that show someone trying to help someone that is in a violent situation, which 90% of the crime shows do. My favorite is American Justice on the A%26amp;E channel.

Almost every single reality show. They show most people as vain, shallow, aggressive, etc...because they are meant to. They are basically high school fluff/junk food. If one believed reality shows we all have tons of cash, big houses, no real problems and endless silly "dramas" occupying our time/lives. People think that is how Americans are overall.

1. Lovely complex

Summary- Lovely Complex is a love story between a boy and a girl. The girl, Risa Koizumi, is 172 cm tall—much taller than the average Japanese girl. The boy, Atsushi Otani, is 156 cm—way below the height of the average Japanese boy. Because of this, they are called the "All Hanshin Kyojin" after a popular comedy duo that has a similar height difference.

During summer school, a very tall student (from another class) shows up and Risa immediately falls for him, as she has had bad luck with boys in the past because she is tall. There is a girl that Atsushi likes as well, so Risa and Atsushi decide to put aside their differences and help each other get their love interests. But as they get to know each other better, Risa's feelings for Atsushi begin to blossom, and her love life gets complicated from there.

Summary- Haruhi Fujioka is a scholarship student at Ouran High School, a fictional school located in Bunkyō, Tokyo. Because of the superlative cost of the school uniform, Haruhi resorts to wearing long slacks, polo shirts and vests. Combined with her large glasses and tousled short hair, Haruhi's look causes her to be confused for a boy.

Looking for a quiet place to study, Haruhi stumbles upon the Third Music Room, the working place of the Ouran Host Club, a group of six attractive male students (Takashi "Mori", Mitsukuni "Hunny", Kaoru and Hikaru, Tamaki, and Kyoya) who spend their time charming and entertaining the school's girls for profit. During their first meeting, Haruhi accidentally knocks over a vase valued at ￥8,000,000, estimated to be $80,000.

Summary- Full Moon focuses on a 12-year-old girl named Mitsuki Koyama. Mitsuki is a talented singer who dreams of becoming a pop idol, but she is afflicted with throat cancer, which is curable only through a surgery that would cost her her vocal chords and her ability to sing. The tumor in her throat also affects her ability to breathe well and sing loudly. On top of that, her grandmother hates music, and is completely opposed to Mitsuki's wish to audition. Her dreams seem impossible to achieve, until one day she is visited by two shinigami whom only she can see. Without knowing Mitsuki can see and hear them, they accidentally tell her she only has one year left to live.

4. Marmalade Boy

Summary- Miki Koishikawa's ordinary life as a high school junior is turned upside down when her parents suddenly announce that they are getting divorced in order to swap partners with a couple they met in Hawaii. They seek her approval of the shocking change, and at a dinner where Miki meets the other couple as well as their son Yuu, who is about her age, she reluctantly agrees to the arrangement. Lovely Complex-A very, very cute and romantic anime about a very tall girl and a very short boy. This anime is hilarious at times and has moments that just make you want to cheer from happiness. The relationship between the two main characters is complex and interesting and realistic and enjoyable to watch. I saw it at animecrunch.com

Peach Girl-I have not seen the anime for this, but I read the manga and loved it. A typical love triangle story, but with the added bonus of a main character who's self concious about her tan skin and light hair, an absolutely horrible best friend, and one of my personal favorite anime/manga guys (Kiley!). Kare Kano-I did not see the anime, but I really enjoyed the manga. The story of an overachieving perfectionist who meets her match in her new classmate. He seems absolutely perfect on the outside, but soon, both their perfect facades begin to fade as they discover each other's true selves. Very cute and romantic :). Probably at veoh.com

Marmalade Boy-This anime is longer, but cute. The story of a girl who falls for her new step-brother. There are tons of characters and love triangles and lots of side relationships so you're never quite bored. I'd recommend this. I watched it at youtube a long time ago, but it's probably been deleted.

Ai Yori Aoshi-The story of the romance between Kaoru and Aoi, two childhood friends who promised to marry. Aoi, a shy. quiet girl, seeks Kaoru, a surprisingly decent guy, out and they begin a romance. But soon, due to a bunch of circumstances that I can't remember, they have to move into a giant house with lots of other girls lodging in it, turning the anime into a harem. What I like about this is how Kaoru isn't the typical pervert loser you seen in harems. Can be seen at veoh.com

D.N.Angel-This has elements of magic and fighting. The overall premise isn't romance, but there is romance involved. It's about a boy named Daisuke who, when thinking about his crush, turns into a phantom thief named Dark. The anime deals with his growing relationships between two girls (who happen to be twins with completely opposite personalities) and his fights as Dark. I really enjoyed this anime, and it's not lacking in the romance department. I think it's at veoh.com

Hantsuki-A short anime, this is about the relationship between two teenagers in a hospital. It's only 6 episodes, so it's good for killing some time. I saw it at youtube.

Angelic Layer-About a young girl who begins playing this game called Angelic Layer, where people basically have these fights with these...doll robot type things. It's very good. Meanwhile, the main character is dealing with a bit of romance and looking for her estranged mother. I'd recommend this one :). It can be seen at veoh.com. And it's by the same people as Chobits.

Shakugan no Shana-It's been a while since I've seen it, but if I can remember correctly, it's about this girl who is a Flame Haze, ie she fights these monster things that take people's life forces. When a monster kills someone, the monster steals their existance, so Torches come in and replace the lost existance for a while in a sort of transition period before disappearing altogether and having everyone forget that person existed. Yuji, a high school boy, one day discovers that he is a Torch and that he will be disappearing soon. But what he doesn't know is that he is a special kind of Torch. There's romance between Yuji and Shana (the flamehaze) and definitely action and magic. It's at veoh.com, I think.

Pretear-A magical girl anime that's a reverse harem. It's about this girl who becomes the new Pretear. Basically, her job is to help all these guys who are fighting someone who takes the Leafe (life) out of everything. Several reasons. They're on during the daytime, and almost all of their viewers are stay at home women ( Notice how many women want to support a stay at home father ? Like almost none ? Don't try to sell me the lie that Feminism = Equality... ). Next, advertisers know that women, stay at home or not, control no less than 85% of all discretionary consumer spending. So, TV ads are almost all targeted to women, which requires shows to also be targeted to women viewers. Thats also why so many commercials are very demeaning towards men, but just about none dare to demean women.

Then, women are drawn to stories about people, men more appreciate stories about larger themes, so sports does a good deal with that for men, because sports is also about individuals sacrificing for the team and for the objective.

In My Computer my TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H552L drive shows up as a CD drive and as a result, I cannot burn a DVD in another program.

take a look on the side of the drive and see if it says cd/dvdrw. if it does then it should burn dvds.

you can also check the following way by doing: right click on my computer %26gt; click properties %26gt; click device manager and look at what it says for your drive. if it says cd/dvd then youre not able to burn dvds. if it does say cd/dvdrw then you can and you might need to reinstall the proper recognition drivers that you can get from the manufactures website.

If you do a Google search you will find out that a lot of people have had a lot of driver problems with them.

You need check or the driver, for your model and reinstall it, it should be on the driver CD you got with your PC

You can go to your device manager in windows and UN INSTALL the drive, Do NOT DISABLE IT.

Restart you PC and it will reinstall the driver windows has for it or the one that is supossed to be on it. It could just be glitched and that will fix it.

If it does not fix the problem, or it asks you for the disc put in your disc and install the driver for it, and that should fix it.

If you do not have a driver disk or do not have the driver first, i would find it on the net and download it first. and run it if its in .exe form, or unzip it to a folder so if it asks for the driver location you can point it in that direction, and it will install it.

Also check your properties of it and Check and make sure the drive is in DMA mode and not PIO mode.

I doubt if Project Runway Phils will be a hit. But I think Betty La Fea %26amp; Rosalinda is draw a lot of viewers. Filipinos can relate more to Latin Telenovelas, eventhough Koreanovelas are more famous these days.
Another Philippine remake shows. I'm not surprised. I think the Betty La Fea and Rosalinda remakes will become a hit. I don't think whatever station that will produce the Project Runway Philippines will have that much budget to make it as interesting like what happened to RPN 9's Philippines' Next Top Model, which didn't become a hit.
Betty La Fea - localized versions in other countries have a proven track record. On the other hand, I don't know how fans will take kindly to the turning of the rumored series into a musical. Then again, this is produced by ABS-CBN.

Rosalinda - If the localized Marimar is any indication, this one will also be a hit.

Project Runway Philippines - show will be aired on the ETC channel available only on cable TV, thus audience could be limited. Out of the three, this is the one show that will have to strive harder to get viewers other than the fans of the US version.

All of those shows are great! I have a 19 month old daughter and she absolutely loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She goes nuts whenever it's on TV. Her whole bedroom is full of Mickey Mouse stuff. She also really likes Dora, Diego, Blue's Clues and The Doodlebops. I think she likes Dora and Diego a lot because they are always going on adventures. The Doodlebops are great because they are colorful and sing. She loves Blue and finding her clues. I think that the TV channel Noggin has a great selection of cartoons for toddlers. They are the only ones I let my daughter watch, besides a few on The Disney Channel (Doodlebops, Handy Manny and Little Einsteins).

The wonder pets are a good show as well.

I know the feeling, move to LA, and get yourself an agent, then write for some rubbish shows until you score a contact with a good one, do that for a few years then if that works out, write a pilot and offer it the network who airs the show you write for.

I would suspect the connector on the back of the PC or the cable itself. Very carefully check both. If the cable works on one PC but not on the other then the connector on the PC is likely.

Have you by any chance set the monitor to operate at a higher refresh rate than what it can handle? If so, try getting into safe mode to reset to default. It could also be a loose or faulty display connector. It's unlikely that the fault is with the graphic card.
It could be a memory, processor or motherboard problem. Make sure your RAM is plugged in securely first. Look for anything unplugged. If that doesn't fix it, you might need to take it to a local computer guy.

Sailor Moon was never translated into English for the Stars seasons unless you're talking about subtitles. Youtube shows a lot of these episodes with subs. Maybe that would help?
I don't believe those episodes were ever translated into English. The best you can probably hope for is Japanese episodes with English subtitles.
