The monitor works on the other pc, but shows nothing except the monitor test signal, all fans working,but cant get into BIOS to check settings, lights on front of pc come on and stay on, no rattle of HDD, can this be graphics card or settings in BIOS? card is a Voodoo 3dfx 64mb.

I would suspect the connector on the back of the PC or the cable itself. Very carefully check both. If the cable works on one PC but not on the other then the connector on the PC is likely.

Have you by any chance set the monitor to operate at a higher refresh rate than what it can handle? If so, try getting into safe mode to reset to default. It could also be a loose or faulty display connector. It's unlikely that the fault is with the graphic card.
It could be a memory, processor or motherboard problem. Make sure your RAM is plugged in securely first. Look for anything unplugged. If that doesn't fix it, you might need to take it to a local computer guy.
